A Prayer and a Song Before Bed

Glory to You, Almighty God,
for You sent Your only-begotten Son
that we might have new life.

Glory to You, Lord Jesus Christ,
for You became flesh and dwelt among us
that we might become Your people.

Glory to You, Holy Spirit,
for You direct and rule our lives.

Glory to You, Almighty God,
and to Your Son, Jesus Christ,
and to the Holy Spirit
now and forever.  Amen

— The Presbyterian Book of Common Worship (1993) p. 178. (altered from 1946 ed.)

About Paul Wharton

I am a cradle Catholic, a native West Virginian, and a priest since April 24, 1982. Spiritual Direction has made a tremendous difference in my life and I encourage people to try it out. My motto is "Progress not perfection." I am grateful that God has done for me what I could not do for myself.
